Stories of Service program participants from across the America are invited to come together in the nation’s capitol to honor the sacrifices of those who served in a weekend of events, culminating in the National Memorial Day Parade.
Youth leaders who have earned the Community Historian Award by completing at least one Digital Story project will be presenting their work to our nation's archives and to represent their schools and communities at a National Stories of Service Rally.
Youth delegates will visit national memorials and museums, host a VIP “Night of the Eagles” dinner, lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and take part in the National Memorial Parade by carrying photos of their veterans down historic Pennsylvania Avenue.
